Position Rudder Tiller/Quadrant & RFU Swivel Arm to Amidships & Install the 2 Ball Joint Studs Equal Distance OUT from BOTH Center of Rudder Post & RFU Swivel Arm Pivot Point.

Not Important on which Ball Joint gets Installed in Tiller Location, Your Choice for Your Application!

With Quick Release 90 Degree Ball Joint on Rod & Detached from its Stud Run ROD Through INSTALLED Slide-Locking Ball Joint then Reconnect Ball Joint End & TIGHTEN SS Allen Screw In Place. NOW Equal Distances Centers OUT & Also Equal Distances Across Should Be Correct

Depending on Your Application ... Excess Length of ROD May Be CUT OFF After Sea Trial & Final Adjustment!
